Re: Jobs (not Steve)

Getting a good cooking workout is never bad that's pretty cool. Had any enraged old people mess up your day? I imagine that to be a job that could produce a lot of funny stories. I remember feeding my grandmother in her old folks' home and she would open her mouth then I would move a food-filled spo...

Re: Classic Pokemon!

Yeah I'm actually playing on an emulator because I know I would destroy my GBA if I played on an actual cartridge. EXP Share, despite its usefulness, is so annoying in the first gen games where holding is not yet a component of Pokemon. But yeah I got so lucky to find a Growlithe as my first Pokemon...

Re: Classic Pokemon!

I moved and never got to check that. My Game Boy and games are in a box somewhere I will probably unpack them over the weekend. Also, I started a Nuzlocke on FireRed. I have lost my Butterfree, Catara, on Route 5 at level 18. I really like Butterfree and I was looking forward to getting her amped up...

Re: Jobs (not Steve)

Man that's awesome. Both that she got kicked out and how you are now the second officer. Destroying everybody in your path. Does that make you like a sous chef? I essentially got full control over our databases today which makes me pretty happy. They have been giving me more control and flexibility ...

Re: Jobs (not Steve)

Yeah I'm like three weeks into it and it's not so bad. Relearning programming languages like wildfire. I just got internet at my apartment a week ago due to wiring issues. Living in an apartment that's part of a house built in 1906, so it has it's quirks and signs of aging but it's cheap to rent and...

Jobs (not Steve)

So I got a full-time job recently. I'm officially a database manager. I wear a suit. I still don't know what "business casual" means. I refuse to Google it. They ran a background check on me. I don't think this site came up. Feels kinda bad to take a rather safe job. But I suppose that isn't a bad p...

Re: Confession of a Dess.

I had a gay friend four years ago who ended up getting very persistent that I was gay and we should be together. The whole scenario didn't end too well. Four months ago, I ran into him in a different city for the first time since then. At first I tried to pretend we hadn't noticed each other, but he...

All it takes is one loss and it starts to pop up again. Then chain reaction since you gotta tell everybody and whatnot.

Re: Classic Pokemon!

Are you putting in the right codes for the right versions? I used a Gameshark as a kid, and I didn't have that problem. The code I would use was the one that turned all wild Pokemon into whatever particular Pokemon I wanted them to be, and then I would just catch it. Generally with a master ball obt...
